Most guns wear variants of traditional sporting garb.
Driven pheasant shooting in the UK is steeped in tradition. Maintaining this tradition in a relaxed manner adds considerably to the atmosphere of an enjoyable day’s sport. Driven days at Carrog require a shirt and tie and most guns wear modern variants of the traditional sporting garb.

During the game season temperatures can vary (rain has even been known to fall!) so it’s wisest to be prepared for all eventualities. Many drives are approached over uneven, sometimes damp ground and boots or wellingtons are recommended. We also recommend the use of ear protection - soft plugs or ideally good quality ear defenders.

Guns must be carried in a gun slip between stands and only fibre wadded cartridges are allowed.

A 4x4 is desirable as some drives require a short journey over forestry tracks.
